This is a virtual training aimed at professionals in the audiovisual and publishing industry in Latin America, whose objective is to perfect, specialize and improve the performance of production companies in the region so that they are better prepared when closing deals.

There will be exclusive panels led by representatives of Paramount+, Movistar, Netflix, Flow, Riivi, Flixxo and Amazon Studios, who will address the particularities of their acquisition and original production businesses, such as the basic conditions, processes, documents and preliminary stages to start a project with a streaming platform. In addition, they will present their work model and various examples that allow them to expand what the platform of a production company expects.

The sessions are free and will take place on March 20, 21 and 22, 2023 from 12 to 3 p.m. (Argentina time) in virtual mode through Microsoft Teams.

It is important to highlight that the program has the support of FIPCA (Iberoamerican Cinematographic and Audiovisual Producers Federation), LAFCN (Latin American Film Commission Network), CAACI (Conference of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities of Ibero-America), CERLALC (Regional Center for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean), WAWA (Worldwide Audiovisual Women's Association), BAFC (Buenos Aires Film Commission), INCAA (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts), Invest in Bogotá, Uruguay XXI, ProChile, ProMendoza and BB-Business Bureau.

WHO IS INTENDED FOR?

Professionals, producers and creators of audiovisual content with economic activity in Latin America, as well as publishers and authors of literary works susceptible to adaptation to series or films, are the main protagonists of the proposal.

At the end, a certificate of attendance will be delivered to those who have witnessed all the meetings.

At the time of the production and exploitation of an audiovisual work, it is increasingly important to carry out a prior review of all the contents to avoid falling into violations of both the rights of third parties and any law.

DAY 3

Guidelines for platforms and chain of titles: Incidents in production and production budgets

The new business models for the production of audiovisual works for platforms imply strict adherence to guidelines, veritable manuals for the "legal production" of the work.

Knowledge of these manuals has important implications for budgeting and negotiations with talent and other rights holders involved in the production.

The format and legal guarantees of the chain of title are of fundamental importance to make the sale of a project to a platform viable.
